Tis the season to make gifts.

Happy Holidays!!!!!

Hope you are having a good holiday season!!! I have been busy with the PTO and in my spare time making gifts for family and friends. John and I made truffles and put them in embellished tins. I put together wrapped Hershey miniatures and also placed them in the tins. I really enjoyed making the cookies in a jar too. I think these came out really well and fun to make. Brianna gave one of those to her teacher Mrs.Gerst. I made a special gift for our close family, which they have not yet received due to the slow mail, so I have to keep a secret till that arrives.

All in all I hope that everyone has a great holiday season and a wonderful New Year!!!! See you in 2009!!!!!

Too busy to keep up with my BLOG.... or my pages...

Well the last month has been one busy month. I was thinking once the kids head back to school that I would have more free time, but that has not been the case. I am on the go everyday, all day, non stop!!!!

I have been able to take time in the evening to clean up and organize my little area, but still not enough for me. I need to start back up and get to working on my pages. Not to mention the holiday gifts for my family....shhh.. need to keep that one a secret. :)

Other than being busy.... I was able to attend my first Air Force Ball with my husband. It was not what I expected but was nice to get out for a chance and actually talk to each other without being interrupted by kidos... lol
We had a sitter all night and went to a late late night dinner and back home to relax. All in all it was a nice night with my husband.

Well I hope that my next posting will not be sooooo darn boring...

I am going to work on some cards for a swap...

Using Dan's Scallops!!!!!!

Well I need to make some more Thank you cards and decided to use Dan's SVG Scallops that are he uploaded this past Friday. It is a simple card but full of color. You can get free SVG cut files from his blog every Friday and they are only up for one week. I am really finding inspiration by using my cricut with the SCAL software. I really do enjoy it.

Thanks Dan for sharing your talented work with us scrappers!!!!!

The white dots are Pearl like gems, and ice stickles on the curls. Along with my SCAL cut little birdie.. Which I will place the file later for you to grab. :)

You may grab the file by clicking "My Little Birdie"
Well I am going to clean up my area and head to bed.

Creating in Humidity....

How does one create in a environment that is filled of hot, sticky, humid air?? Everything feels yucky. The temps are about 80 but with 100% humidity, and no wind or breeze the room just feels like a stuffy box. My mind is going blank. I have been surfing the web and finding ways to get my mind back to creating. My little desk fan gives me a some relief, but not enough. My paper feels moist and flimsy. I guess I will have to keep looking for my inspiration to create in this heat and mugginess.
